Challenges

When I reached out to Ray Ortiz, the Community Manager at Sycamore Lane Apartments, with a cold email outlining how our digital parking permit and automated enforcement solution could benefit their community, I didn't know what to expect. Little did I know that this initial contact would lead to an exciting journey of addressing some of their most pressing challenges.

Ray wasted no time and gave me a call back. He said, "Sameer, you have something good here. Let me share my challenges with you."

  1. Identifying Parked Vehicles: The community had no efficient way of distinguishing between residents and visitors parked within their premises.

  2. Lost Tags: The traditional parking tags they provided for each vehicle were prone to getting lost or being transferred to different cars without notice.

  3. Late Night Complaints: Late-night calls from residents frustrated about not finding parking spaces had become all too common.

  4. Enforcement: They wanted an automated enforcement solution that can notify the towing company & onsite team of violators parking in their lot without a permit.

  5. Parking Fee Implementation: They wanted to start charging for parking, but Ray knew that without proper enforcement, it would be a challenge.

Then he asked, β€œCan you help with all the above?” I responded, "Of course, Ray, we can 😊"

Solution

ParkStash solution was elegantly simple. Residents and visitors could register their license plates, make payments, and park by scanning a QR code. With License Plate Recognition (LPR), any vehicle entering without a valid permit would be instantly tagged as a violator. Automated notifications were dispatched to the on-site staff and towing company through our Enforcer app. This strategic approach allowed Sycamore Lane Apartments to leverage ParkStash Violation Warnings to generate additional revenue from violations.
